Common faults and causes of metal saw motors are as follows:
1. The metal saw motor starter does not work, there is a buzzing sound
Reason: lack of phase in power supply, emergency shutdown for inspection.
2. The metal saw motor can only run in single phase
Cause: The pole-changing switch is off; one of the six wires of the motor is damaged.
3. The coolant of the metal saw motor does not spray out
Reasons: insufficient coolant in the water tank; no power to the cooling pump motor; damage to the cooling pump motor; the valve on the water pipe is not opened.
4. The metal saw motor can work, but it is noisy and lacks horsepower
Reason: The power supply is out of phase; if the voltage is inaccurate, it should be within ±5% of the standard voltage; inaccurate gear oil may damage the oil seal or the oil may enter the motor, damage the insulation and cause necrosis.
5. There is abnormal noise when the metal saw motor cuts
Reason: The saw teeth are not sharp or the teeth are broken; the workpiece is not clamped; if there is adhesive debris on the teeth, please stop the machine to remove them.
6. The metal saw motor is damaged or broken teeth
Reason: the knife cover is not locked; the saw blade is not pulled back enough before locking, and the saw blade is not close to the knife cover, causing strain during sawing; if the saw blade is too blunt and the cutting load is too large, it will tear the saw blade or cause the workpiece Rotation, must be re-sharpened and reused; saw blade tooth profile is incorrect; saw blade tooth number is not appropriate; feed too much, bite too heavy, overload; workpiece is too sharp and thin at the beginning of sawing; saw blade speed is too fast/material too hard.
Note: The metal saw motor should be properly shut down for two hours a day to avoid long-term non-stop use to reduce the performance and service life of the equipment!
